A Slice of the Adirondacks
"Looking through window to our backyard"

In the 80's, I collected rocks from around the Adirondacks, sliced them, and amongst other things, made several panels. This one is an adaptation of the old quilting pattern "Flying Geese". The geese are represented here using slices of Potsdam Sandstone, while the background was cut from one of the ancient crystalline rocks.
